This generation of BMW M5, the F90 generation, is already well into its mid-cycle LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) and it is one of the most successful LCIs in recent memory. While that didn’t change much for the F90 M5 – the same goes for the G30 5 series it’s based on – but that was kind of the point. The F90 M5 was already so beautiful that very few changes were necessary. However, for any customer with an F90 M5 LCI who wanted some 3D design parts, fret not, because the Japanese tuning company has developed a spoiler for M5 LCI owners.
Granted, it’s not vastly different from 3D Design’s pre-LCI spoiler, but it is. The lower front bumper has changed very slightly for the LCI M5, which required a modification to the lip spoiler from 3D Design. Otherwise, you will notice that something was wrong with the old one.
The new 3D Design lip spoiler for the F90 M5 is made from the same material as the old one. It is a 2×2 carbon fiber weave, designed to be ultra light. In fact, the whole spoiler weighs only 700 grams. An M5 can weigh as much as the sun, but you don’t want to add more weight if you don’t need it.
Everything else in 3D Design’s catalog for the F90 M5 remains the same, as the shape of the M5 LCI hasn’t changed at all, other than that front bumper, of course. So if you want the side skirts, rear diffuser, rear spoiler or anything else, it doesn’t matter if you have the M5 pre-LCI or post-LCI, they fit.
The F90 M5 is still an incredible car, one that is admired even many years after its release. It may not be the purest or most engaging M5 of all, but it is one of the most complete and best modern M cars of all. So adding some sparkle to its exterior should make any owner even happier to keep it for the long haul.
