India-based multinational fashion company PDS has focused more on agility and technology solutions due to COVID-19 disruption and is developing, among other things, 3D design, sampling and fitting, 360 showroom, digital and color adjustment and data analysis, according to CEO Sanjay Jain. He expects these solutions to give the company an edge.

“Since the ease of travel is severely limited during these times and is expected to be limited in the near future, such (technological) solutions give us an advantage,” Jain told Fibre2Fashion in an interview.

He added that PDS has “created a network of virtual manufacturing partners who undertake the manufacturing process on our behalf. It also allows us to operate in all geographies without needing to invest in capacity to serve a new region / category. “
