UltiMaker Launches MakerBot SKETCH Large 3D Printer

UltiMaker, a global leader in desktop 3D printing, launches the new MakerBot SKETCH Large 3D Printer, the latest addition to the popular MakerBot SKETCH platform [in case you missed recent merger news, Ultimaker and Makerbot merged earlier this year]. The SKETCH platform is one of the most comprehensive 3D printing solutions for education, expanding students’ access to 3D printing, empowering them to bring their ideas to life, and preparing educators to succeed in class.

With more 3D printing power than standard SKETCH and just as easy to use, SKETCH Large allows teachers and students to explore 3D printing on a larger scale, allowing students to further develop their ideas with designs. bigger and bolder. With the ability to fit up to 10 student projects on one build plate, SKETCH Large allows teachers to optimize print times and focus on their priorities. The SKETCH Large makes 3D printing large projects or multiple projects smoother and easier than before.

UltiMaker offers a comprehensive educational ecosystem for educators and students, giving them access to a wide range of resources designed to enhance classroom learning. The SKETCH Large is available as a single-unit solution or as a two-unit classroom package to accommodate more students. Each MakerBot SKETCH Large features a fully enclosed chamber, particulate filter, heated and flexible build plate, touchscreen capabilities, onboard camera, material sensors, and Wi-Fi and USB capabilities. SKETCH Large comes with three spools of easy-to-print MakerBot PLA, training on ISTE-certified 3D printers, program creation, and design thinking lessons. One teacher license and fifteen student licenses for MakerBot Certification training programs for teachers and students, which includes a comprehensive curriculum for teachers and interactive design thinking lessons for students.
